Best Of The Festivals Series 2
Blink TV 2011 Festival Filming
Blink is in the midst of its busy summer period, filming and working with some of the world’s greatest festivals. All the best content is being captured to create the ‘Best of the Festivals Series 2’ programming.
Packed with full-on high definition, multi-camera live performances, exclusive interviews, backstage footage, fans’ vox pops and on-site shenanigans, this will be essential festival viewing. For international broadcasters, this year there is the option of translating pop-up text boxes which will give the viewer insightful and often amusing information and trivia about the bands and festivals featured. The series will culminate in a ‘Best of the Best’ program – but who will make it to this final episode? Festivals featured will be Isle of Wight, Oxegen, Sonisphere, Lovebox, Wacken, High Voltage, Hurricane, V Festival and Rewind – the 80s Festival. We’ll also be making feature-length highlights programs from all festivals for broadcasters including Channel 4, Sky Arts, XYZ (Australia) and VH1 (America).
New this year, Blink is also working with a number of artists to create dedicated programs from festival performances which will be distributed internationally in conjunction with artists’ labels and management. As the summer progresses we’ll be adding to this diverse list, but bands slated so far include: Scissor Sisters, Mike and the Mechanics, Beady Eye, Plan B, Kaiser Chiefs, Tom Jones, Public Image Limited and Seasick Steve.
