Girls Aloud Wraps Up
Girls Aloud tour finishes after getting rave reviews
The Girls Aloud Out of Control Tour came to an end in Newcastle on the 6th June. Blink produced all the visuals using footage from an extensive green screen shoot & underwater shoot, and an art department featuring giant Burlesque Martini glasses and a bouncy castle! Blink’s team of visual artists also animated some stunning graphic backdrops and video sets to make full use of the 10 screens that covered the stage, including 5 video ‘ramps’ that were integral to the band’s choreography.
Even the mainstream press have acknowledged the high production values, with journalists paying tribute to the visual spectacle of costumes, choreography, and of course the video graphics:
’At a Girls Aloud gig, hundreds of skilled pros… have crafted each aspect of the show so you are at all times entertained. This is a supremely pleasurable experience… the video backdrop to Love Machine proved amazingly phallic – it is also hilarious’. (Evening Standard)
’The spectacle was unrelenting’ (The Times)
‘The 20ft-tall video screens…had a majestic presence’ (London Lite)
