Leona Lewis

Bespoke Screen Content – Case Study

Blink produced all the visuals for Leona Lewis’s album launch at the Hackney Empire on the 2nd November. The show met with rave reviews, which paid tribute to the beautiful screen visuals.

‘This was the 24-year-old diva’s first ever full concert and she used the occasion to premiere an arena-ready show, complete with all the necessary whistles and bells and exotic visual effects, much to the delight of an enthusiastic home-town audience who rewarded her with a standing ovation at the end.’ (Daily Mail, 3rd November 09)

The visuals were projected against 7 separate surfaces to create a layered theatrical visual staging which embraced the beautiful architecture of the venue. We used a cutting edge projection technique which created a huge hologram of Leona on a gauze screen in front of the stage for her new single “Happy”, together with a combination of animated graphics which ‘framed’ Leona on stage and footage from a recent shoot with her and her dancers.
