Bespoke Screen Content – Case Study
Blink TV were commissioned by Global Radio and Production North to produce over 5 hours of bespoke screen visuals and VT packages for 16 different artists for the Capital Radio Summertime Ball. The groundbreaking event took place at Emirates Stadium in London in front of 60,000 screaming fans. It showcased 16 huge pop acts including Leona Lewis, Lionel Richie, Blue, Katy Perry, JLS, Kelly Clarkson and many more. Due to the fast turnaround of just 2 minutes between each act, the show’s producer, Elizabeth Honan wanted to use the screen visuals and VT’s to drive the show rather than the conventional approach of live presenters delivering every link. It was also important to Capital that the show should have a consistent look and feel, so they chose our creative team to produce visuals for every single artist – tailoring each of the 46 songs with their specific requirements but also keeping the summer feel good theme throughout.
