Bespoke Screen Content – Case Study

After a highly successful Capital Summertime Ball, Global Radio commissioned Blink TV to produce the video content for their 2009 Jingle Bell Ball – a two-day event at the O2 Arena consisting of 27 performing artists and almost 10 hours of bespoke video content. The show had a two stage set up, each with its own 30 × 50 ft screen displaying tailored screen visuals. Blink TV also created two minute introductory VT’s for each performer, these paced the turn around of each artists’ performance. Highlights included Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, JLS, Sugababes, Tinchy Stryder, Westlife, NE_YO, Flo-Rida, Alexandra Burke and Janet Jackson. Working closely with Show Producer Elizabeth Honan, we customised the 89 video visuals to each artist and track, using the screen canvas in multiple ways to add variety and visual energy to each performance. The VT packages that surrounded the live performances all had a consistent look and feel, helping to create a slick and coherent show in line with the Capital Christmas theme. In addition to this, Blink filmed the show on 6 cameras for the Capital FM website, and edited news packages onsite each day for national TV.
