Bespoke Screen Content – Case Study

The Kylie X Tour creative director William Baker decreed that cutting-edge video would be a key component of the show. A 17m x 9m backdrop of Stealth screen in 6 moveable sections was the centrepiece, the stage was made up of 2500 Mi Strips turning the whole floor into a video screen and the band risers were in front of 6144 Mi Sphere video balls.
“There are 26 songs in the set, and we need video content for all of them,” William declared. We love a challenge: An extensive 4 day shoot with Kylie provided the bulk of the content, and a team of 20 specialist graphics and animation artists was then co-ordinated to produce more than two hours of content for playback on three different screen types. During production rehearsals, our six strong onsite team spent three weeks fine-tuning and programming the content to ensure it ran in complete harmony with the show

“The X2008 tour presented a huge challenge, and Blink were involved right from the start.. It was one of the most ambitious and intricate video shows ever produced, and they delivered on every level,” said William.
